These are EUR card limits, not general Kolo account limits.
Your Kolo account may also have its own spending or transaction limits. The EUR card limits apply in addition to those Kolo limits, not instead of them. If either limit is reached, the transaction may be declined.
What These Limits Apply To
These limits apply specifically to the EUR card.
They cover:
card purchases
certain restricted transaction types
They do not replace the general Kolo account limits shown in the app.
EUR Card Purchase Limits
The following standard limits apply to each card:
Limit Type | Amount |
Maximum purchase amount per transaction | 30,000 EUR |
Monthly purchase cap | 30,000 EUR |
Each card has its own limit. Limits are not combined across all cards held by the same cardholder.
Higher limits may be approved with appropriate justification and supporting documents.
Exchange Rates and Currency Conversion
The exchange rate applied to a transaction may differ from publicly quoted market rates. This is expected behaviour.
The conversion path and applicable fees depend on the transaction currency. Local currency transactions are converted to EUR at the Visa exchange rate, with the following surcharge applied on top:
Transaction currency | Rate applied |
CHF, CZK, DKK, GIP, HUF, ISK, NOK, PLN, RON, SEK | Visa exchange rate to EUR + 0.55% surcharge |
All other local currencies | Visa exchange rate to EUR + 1.35% surcharge |
EUR/GBP | Visa exchange rate + 0.65% |
You can check current Visa exchange rates on the Visa website.
Kolo Limits Still Apply Separately
EUR card limits are separate from Kolo account-level limits. A payment must comply with both.
You can check your Kolo limits, remaining amounts, and reset times under Profile → Limits.

In addition to amount limits, there are also restrictions on certain transaction types.

FAQ
If my transaction is within the card limit, can it still be declined?
If my transaction is within the card limit, can it still be declined?
Yes. Even if a payment is within the card limits, it can still be declined for another reason, such as Kolo account-level limits or transaction restrictions related to merchant category, merchant geography, or transaction currency.
Need Help?
If your EUR card payment was declined and you are not sure why, contact support and share:
the transaction amount
the merchant name
the currency
the approximate date and time of the attempt
This helps us check whether the decline was caused by a card limit, a transaction restriction, or another rule.
