Referral Program

Invite friends to Kolo and earn rewards when they use eligible fee-based services. This article explains how referrals are linked, how earnings work, and what to check if a referral does not appear.

What is the Kolo Referral Program?

The Kolo Referral Program lets you share your personal invite link with friends. If they join Kolo through your link, they become your referrals.

When your referrals make transactions that generate fees, you receive a share of the fee Kolo earns.

You can find your referral link in the Earn section.

The Earn section is available in:

There, you can:

  • copy your personal referral link

  • share your invite link

  • view your All-time Earnings

  • open your Invited Friends list

The Invited Friends section shows people connected to your referral link and their current status.

Depending on their progress, they may appear under:

  • Verified friends

  • Waiting for verification

How referral rewards are calculated

You can earn up to 40% of the fees your referrals pay.

⚠️ Important: this is 40% of Kolo’s fee, not 40% of your friend’s spending

Referral rewards apply to transactions where Kolo charges a fee.

In practice, this typically includes operations with a conversion fee, such as:

  • Crypto-to-crypto conversions

  • Crypto-to-fiat conversions during card payments

  • Conversions related to withdrawals (IBAN withdrawals)

  • Other crypto-to-fiat payment flows supported in Kolo

Rewards are credited in the same currency the fee was charged in. If a transaction does not generate a fee, no referral reward is credited.

All-time Earnings shows your total referral earnings. In the earnings screen, rewards are displayed as referral rewards and grouped by date and currency.

When are rewards credited?

Rewards are accrued as eligible transactions are finalized.

Payouts are typically processed daily (each 24h), after card transactions and conversion-related sub-orders are processed.

In the app, this is shown as daily referral rewards added to your earnings history.

Referral not showing

If your friend does not appear in Invited friends, check the following:

  • The referral email was entered on the referral page. Referral attribution starts when the invited user enters their email on the referral landing page.

  • The same email was used during registration. The referral is linked only if the invited user signs up with the same email.

  • Registration is completed within 30 days. A pending referral connection stays active for 30 days and expires after that if registration is not completed.

  • Wait for sync. In some cases, the invited friends list updates with a short delay.

If it still does not appear, contact Kolo Support and share:

  • a screenshot of your Earn section or Invited Friends screen

  • the email used on the referral page

  • the email or Telegram account used during registration

FAQ

Do I earn rewards from all transactions my referral makes?

You earn referral rewards only from transactions that generate fees. If a transaction does not generate a fee, no referral reward is credited.

Can I add referrals if they already have a Kolo account or card?

A referral link can only be applied before registration is completed. If your friend already has a Kolo account, including an active card, they cannot be added as your referral retroactively.

What happens if my friend enters their email but signs up later?

If they register with the same email within 30 days, the referral will be linked automatically.

Why can’t I submit another referral email right away?

Currently, no more than 5 referral connections can be created from the same IP address within 10 minutes. If this limit is reached, you may need to wait before trying again.

What happens if they sign up after 30 days?

The pending referral connection expires after 30 days, so the referral will not be attributed automatically.
