How to Top Up Your Balance in Kolo

This article explains how to add funds to your Kolo balance using the available top-up methods.

You can start a top-up from the main Wallet screen or from a specific balance page.

At the moment, you can top up your Kolo balance by receiving crypto only.

Card top-ups and bank transfers are not currently available.

How to top up with crypto

To receive crypto to your Kolo balance:

  1. Open Wallet

  2. Tap Top Up

  3. Select the network

  4. Copy the deposit address or scan the QR code

  5. Open the wallet or exchange you are sending funds from

  6. Send funds using the same asset and network shown in Kolo

You can also start from a specific balance page:

  1. Open the balance you want to top up

  2. Tap Top Up

  3. Select the network

  4. Copy the deposit address or scan the QR code

  5. Send funds from your external wallet or exchange

If only one network is available for the selected asset, Kolo may skip the network selection step and show the deposit address directly.

Choosing the correct network

Always make sure the network in Kolo matches the network you choose in the sending wallet or exchange.

For example:

  • If Kolo shows USDC on Ethereum (ERC20), send USDC using Ethereum (ERC20).

  • If Kolo shows ETH on Arbitrum One, send ETH using Arbitrum One.

  • If Kolo shows TON, send funds only through the supported TON network.

⚠️ Sending funds through the wrong network or sending an unsupported asset may cause delays or loss of funds.

Memo, tag, or comment

Some networks may require an additional memo, tag, or comment.

If Kolo shows a memo, tag, or comment on the deposit screen:

  1. Copy the wallet address

  2. Copy the memo, tag, or comment exactly as shown

  3. Enter both details in the sending wallet or exchange

⚠️ If a required memo, tag, or comment is missing or incorrect, the deposit may not be credited automatically.

Minimum amount, confirmations, and fees

On the deposit address screen, Kolo may show:

  • Minimum amount — the minimum deposit amount for this asset and network

  • Confirmations — how many blockchain confirmations are needed before the deposit can be credited

  • Fee — the Kolo fee for receiving this deposit, if applicable

Kolo does not charge a fee for crypto deposits, but the sending wallet, exchange, or blockchain network may charge its own fee.

⚠️ If you send less than the minimum amount, the deposit will not be credited automatically and will stay pending. To complete it, send the remaining amount needed to reach the minimum to the same deposit address, using the same memo, tag, or comment if one is shown. Once the total amount received reaches the minimum, the deposit will be credited to your balance.

After you send the funds

Crypto deposits are processed after the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.

Processing time may depend on:

  • the selected network

  • blockchain confirmation speed

  • network congestion

  • additional checks required for the transfer

Once the deposit is completed, it appears in your transaction history and your balance is updated.

If Kolo asks for more information

In some cases, Kolo may ask you to provide additional information about the sender or source of funds before the deposit can be completed.

If you see Need your action:

  1. Open the transaction details

  2. Tap Add information

  3. Follow the instructions in the app

  4. Submit the required details

Your deposit can continue processing after the required information is provided and approved.

Important safety tips

Before sending funds, always check:

  • the selected asset

  • the selected network

  • the deposit address

  • memo, tag, or comment, if shown

  • the minimum deposit amount

  • the fee shown by the sending wallet or exchange

FAQ

Can I reuse the same deposit address?

Use the deposit address shown in Kolo for the selected asset and network. If you are unsure, open Kolo again and copy the current address before making a new transfer.

What happens if I sent less than the minimum amount?

The deposit will not be credited automatically and will stay pending. To complete it, send the remaining amount needed to reach the minimum to the same deposit address, using the same memo, tag, or comment if one is shown. Once the total amount received reaches the minimum, the deposit will be credited to your balance.

Can I top up by card or bank transfer?

No. At the moment, Kolo balance top-up is available by crypto transfer only.

Where can I see my completed deposit?

Completed deposits appear in your transaction history.
