Change Your Email, Phone Number, or Telegram in Kolo

Explains how to change your Kolo email, phone number, or Telegram contact details — and what to do if you can’t access your old contact info.

Updated over a week ago

You can update the contact details linked to your Kolo account, including your email address and phone number.

If you still have access to your current contact details, you can usually update them directly in the app.

If you no longer have access to your old email, phone number, or Telegram account, our support team can help you complete the change securely.

Where to Change Your Contact Details

Open: Profile → Personal Information

There, you’ll see your current:

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Identity status

From there, you can start updating your contact details.

Change Your Email

If you still have access to your current email:

  1. Open Profile → Personal Information

  2. Tap Email

  3. Tap Change Email

  4. Enter the verification code sent to your current email address

  5. Enter your new email address

  6. Enter the verification code sent to your new email address

  7. Confirm the change

This helps ensure both the old and new email addresses are under your control.

Change Your Phone Number

If you still have access to your current phone number:

  1. Open Profile → Personal Information

  2. Tap Phone

  3. Tap Change Phone Number

  4. Enter the verification code sent to your current phone number

  5. Enter your new phone number

  6. Enter the verification code sent to your new phone number

  7. Confirm the change

Make sure your new phone number is entered in the correct international format.

Change Your Telegram Account

If your Kolo account is linked to Telegram and you need to change the connected Telegram account, please contact support.

For security reasons, Telegram changes are not available as a self-service action in the app.

If You No Longer Have Access to Your Old Email, Phone Number, or Telegram

If you can’t receive a verification code on your old contact details, support can help you request a secure change.

This may apply if:

  • you changed your phone number

  • your device was lost or stolen

  • you no longer have access to your old email

  • your email or Telegram account was compromised

  • you lost access to your Telegram account

How Support-Assisted Changes Work

Contact [email protected] or use the in-app support chat if you still have access to your account.

Contact detail changes are protected by security checks. If we cannot confirm that you are the account owner, we may not be able to complete the request.

If you are changing your email through support because you no longer have access to the old one, additional protection steps may apply during the review process.

FAQ

Can I use an email address or phone number that’s already linked to another Kolo account?

No. Your email address and phone number must be unique and cannot be linked to another Kolo account.

How long does it take to update my email or phone number?

If you complete the change in the app and pass all verification steps, the update is usually applied right away. If support handles the request, it may take longer.

Can I change both my email and phone number at the same time?

You can request updates for both, but each change may require its own verification step.

What should I do if I don’t receive the verification code?

First, check your spam or trash folders for email codes and make sure your phone number is entered correctly for SMS codes. If the code still doesn’t arrive, try again later or contact support.

Can I change my contact details if my account is restricted?

This depends on your account status. Please contact support, and we’ll review your case.

Can I request a contact detail change for someone else?

No. Contact detail changes can only be requested by the account owner.
