Kolo custodial services are available only to users who are 18+
Who can use Kolo custodial services?
To use any Kolo service that requires verification, you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Complete verification yourself
Use your own legal details
Use your own identity document
Why Kolo requires users to be 18 or older
Kolo provides regulated financial services, and we must follow legal and compliance requirements. That is why only users who are at least 18 years old can complete verification and use custodial services.
Parent or guardian permission
Parent or guardian permission does not remove the minimum age requirement.
Even if a parent or guardian agrees to supervise the account, the account owner must still be at least 18 years old to use Kolo custodial services.
Using another person’s documents is not allowed
Verification must be completed using the account owner’s own legal details and identity document.
Verification cannot be restarted, reset, or repeated to upload another person’s documents.
The documents and personal details must belong to the same person who owns and uses the Kolo account.
Another person cannot complete verification for you
Another person cannot complete verification on behalf of the account owner.
The person creating and using the Kolo account must be the same person whose legal details and documents are submitted during verification.
If you are under 18
If you are under 18, you cannot complete verification or use Kolo custodial services at this time.
You will be able to use Kolo custodial services once you turn 18 and complete verification with your own valid identity document.
Account sharing is not allowed
Kolo accounts are personal:
You must not use another person’s verified account
No one should share their account with you
Each user must use their own account, contact details, and verification documents
Incorrect date of birth
If you believe your date of birth was entered incorrectly, or your verification was rejected by mistake, contact Kolo Support and explain the issue.
Our team will review the case.
