How to send money
Option 1 — Send to an existing Kolo user
If the recipient’s email belongs to an active Kolo user who has completed onboarding, the transfer is processed instantly and shown as Completed.
How to send
Open Wallet → Send → To Kolo User → Email.
Enter the recipient's email or select it from recent.
If the recipient is found, Kolo may show:
the recipient’s first name and last name initial (for individuals), or
company name (for business recipients).
Enter the amount.
(Optional) Add a comment. It will be visible to both the sender and the recipient.
On the Review transfer screen, check the details and tap Send.
If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled for payouts, you'll be asked to enter a confirmation code.
Option 2 — Send to someone not on Kolo yet
If the email is not found in Kolo, you can still send the funds. Kolo will email an invite to the recipient. The recipient can claim funds after signing up and completing onboarding.
How to send
Open Send → To Kolo User → Email.
Enter the recipient's email.
If the email is not found, you will see the message: "You're sending to someone not on Kolo yet". Tap Continue.
Enter the amount.
On Review transfer screen, confirm the transfer.
The transfer is created and shown in your history as Waiting for recipient.
The recipient will receive an email with a link to download the Kolo app and claim the funds.
The recipient must register and pass verification. Once they’ve finished, the funds are credited to their Main custodial wallet and your transfer status changes to Completed.
